After a lull for the Christmas break,  I’m back at it and back to campus.

I think the economy will be back at it today soon, too.  And by “back at it”, I mean we resume our giant national waking-up to the nightmare exercise.  Friday the December unemployment numbers are due.  Signs are they won’t be pretty.  My guess is close to 750,000 jobs lost in December, leaving November’s nearly 600,000 in the dust.

Me thinks the Obama stimulus plan is looking pretty weak in the face of this storm.
